What to do if you have a problem with anger, but you're not willing to pursue the traditional routes to solve your anger or rage problems. You'd rather not go to a professional counseling center to talk about your anger issues, or to a clinic for rehabilitation or to a camp to straighten yourself out. You prefer not to get harmful drugs to calm you down, or to make you happy. You want to take this rage and anger problem and solve it on your own, the natural way.
Rage and anger is a behavior used to cover up other more painful emotions, andger is a feeling in the human body that needs to be expressed. A rageoholic who regularly vents his anger on other should definately see a professional instead of using natural cures and remedies.
There are numerous alternatives to dealing with your anger and rage problems. As long as you realize that you have anger issues and make a decision to change these issues, you're on your wat to taking a step towards winning the battle against anger problems.
Many psychologists say that expressing your anger or rage in any fashion, including physically, only leads to more anger. I do not personally believe this, many alternative remedies do work and can be eased and solved with natural psychotherapeutic techniques.
Anger is an energy that gets into the human body in a variety of ways. Anger got into your body in the past when your parents yelled at you, for example, you felt angry but did not express it. It can get in your body when you get cut off in traffic for example or you get calls from a telemarketer during your dinner. All these and more instances can allow anger to enter your body.
If you do not release this anger it will just fester and torment your thoughts and feelings. This can and does cause physical problems like headaches, to back pain and even worse.
If and when you release this anger you will feel physical, mental and emotional relief. You get that relief from not yelling or abusing another person or yourself but by doing safe, energetic excercises that get that anger out of your body. Here's a few methods that work quyite well!
Pound a Pillow: Let that anger have it!
Find a great place to be alone and just punch, pound, hit that pillow with your fists or even the old fly swatter. Yell curse or even swear at the top of your lungs. Do this for as long as it takes to get that anger out of your body. Doing this will work and even helps rid your mind of old long held anger.
Hollering in Your Car: Perfect for Venting.
Just get in the car even in the garrage roll up the windows and let it go. Scream as loud as you can for as long as you can and release all that days pent up anger. Just keep it up until you don't feel the need to scream any more. Your anger will be all used up. When you scream in the car it's great to holler naything you need to to get that ager out, use cursing, hateful remaks, acuse someone, obsenities, curses whatever comes out is fine!
Twisting the Towel: wring out the anger.
Just take a bath towel or tea towel and twist it as tightly as possible, as you twist the towel twist your ange into that old towel, let out anything needed, moans grunts groans and just repeat "I'm Angry". If your tense and stre it in your jaw like a lot of people do just bite that towel as you twist and even growl to release that anger.
Physical or Aerobics: the secret is focus.
All forms of excercise will release your ager or rage if done with that outcome in mind. You coul hit a tennis ball as hard as possible, while focusing on how angry you are and saying what you feel is necissary. You could also run or ride a stionary bike and again repeat just how angry you are and get it out.
Then to just ease off and relax, try breathing in deeply and slowly through your nose, filling your entire body from abdomen to upper chest then exhale through your mouth, moaning and sighing.
Breathing is important to emotional release, breathing like this is often enough to release mild cases of anger. Try this and see if that anger just slips away!
