Belching (burping) - Fast Natural Relief!

Home Remedies.

Natural Remedies For Belching:

Traditional physicians don't always take belching seriously, so they might propose patients merely to take antacids.

According to alternative nutritionists and physicians, however, excessive belching commonly happens when the gastrointestinal system isn't working correctly. If you don't have adequate stomach acid and digestive enzymes, the food you eat is likely to just sit in your stomach and small intestines rather than being digested the right way. When this happens, the food may produce gases that induce bloating and constant, uncomfortable belching (burping).

If you want temporary relief from belching, you can take an over-the-counter product with the component simethicone. It causes bubbles to come together and combine so that they are more easily released.

If you wish to solve the problem and get more lasting relief, all the same, alternative practioners say that you had better try herbal and dietary supplements. They may actually eliminate excess belching by assisting your digestive tract do what it's designed to do.

GINGER:

The herb ginger stimulates digestion and is good for both alleviating and preventing belching. Recommmended dose of one or two 550-milligram capsules of powdered ginger or 30 drops of tincture before each meal. Or you can drink a cup of ginger tea with each meal. If you still have symptoms after a week, see your physician.

DIGESTIVE ENZYMES:

After a long time with a poor diet, such as too many processed foods and not adequate fruits, vegetables and whole grains, may harm the bodys ability to manufacture normal levels of digestive enzymes. This can contribute to excessive belching.

You can compensate for this by taking a combination supplement that includes the full complement of digestive enzymes. Search a supplement that includes as many of the following enzymes as possible; protease and pancreatin for protein digestion, amylase for starches, lipase for fat, cellulase for vegetable fibers, lactase for milk sugar and maltase and sucrase for additional types of sugars.

Take the supplement before meals, following the dosage recommendations on the label. It's safe to take indefinately.

CARDAMOM:

Cardamom may help reduce muscle spasms in the stomach, which are one of the causes of belching. It will also increase the production of digestive juices so that food in the digestive tract is less likely to rot and produce gas. You should make it as a tea by adding 1 teaspoon of cardamom to 8 ounces of water and boil for 10 minutes. Drink it Hot!

TEAS:

Folk treatments for belching include clove tea and citrus fruit peel tea. To make the tea add 1 teaspoon of cloves or finely grated citrus peel to 8 ounces of water and boil for 10 minutes, and drink the tea hot.
