What happens during a mental health assessment?
Scared. Got to check into hosp. tomorrow a therapist fella wants to do an assessment on me and what will he do? Will he just talk to me or will there be other things involved...? Splease help

I am being forced to do this by the Social Sevices really against my will. I do not feel i have a problem it is my Wife who was acting strangely in the house. And outside of the house which has seen my child being taken away through not coping with the child. Now they are askng me to see my GP to get an assessment done. Without going to your local mental health facility.Because my local one is s it, it's the worst hospital I've ever known, bloody useless.I need this assessment because I've been diagnosed with Conduct Disorder, ADHD and Asperger's at 15, this diagnosis was confirmed later by two of the best child mental health professionals in the country.I got assessed for Antisocial Personality Disorder in 2009 when I'd just turned 18 and the psychologist said I tick all the boxes for ASPD but she wouldn't diagnose me with it as it'd do my life no good, lying b tch.Now, I am sure I have ASPD she basically confirmed that by saying I tick all the boxes.But there's also a possibility that I have Naricissistic Personality Disorder too.I need this assessment to know what's up.Any suggestions?

I've been going to a psychologist for depression. I was given a self assessment form the one for 8 18 year olds or whatever the age was to fill out. I'm being very honest filling out the form, but I was wondering what wishing to be the opposite sex had to with mental health? Is that a symptom of a disorder? Why do they want to know?
