Depends on the state you live in, but usually the county has a mental health clinic. The city can also, and in California, we have a state agency of the dept of mental health.

Most state health plans pay for mental health issues. Its a federal law that medical plans both private and goverment have to cover mental health as they do physical health. The bill was passed last year. Medicaid and Medicare also cover mental health.

Medicaid. All states have it but the big question is whether or not you'll qualify. Try your county community mental health place. The county I live in in Michigan is income based and it'll be free or at least, affordable.
