Mental Health Care, Mental Health Treatment

Question: Do you think under the new universal healthcare system that mental health care will revert to previous methods?

Do you think that, now that we're getting universal healthcare, that anyone with a mental illness who tries to get full treatment for it is going to be "put away and forgot about ", just like how it used to be before 1975- ish? Do you think that, say when a mother gives birth to a child with a physical or mental illness, that doctors will slowly but surely revert back to recommending/ insisting these children be institutionalized permanently, because it's "easier " on the healthcare system?

We have universal health here in Ontario, Canada and we don't have those problems. We have integrated education in our schools where children with physical and mental disabilities are actually integrated into the regular classroom and we have good programs here. Our mental facilities here are only used if the patient truly needs it and they can't be admitted without their consent.
