Experiences at mental health clinics?
I am interested in hearing about people's experiences in mental health clinics because i have a feeling a might be going there soon. i have some questions that need to be answered. please feel free to tell me all about your stay at the mental clinic.1.Are you locked inside all day?2.What happens if you refuse to eat for a long period of time?3.Can the people sedate you if you have a panic attack?4.Can you bring personal items in with you?5.Are you required to talk to a psychologist while you are there?6.What happens if they catch you cutting any self harm?7.Do you have to take medication when you are there?8.Do you have to be watched constantly?9.How long is the stay?please tell me all about your stay. longest and best answer gets 10 points extra.

I am in desperate need of a therapist and or psychiatrist. I have no income and my husband is working 50 60 hours per week just so we can eat and pay our bills and we're down to the bare minimum on them. We just stopped paying on 2 credit cards because we didn't have the money. It was the credit card payments or food. Does anyone have any suggestions? And I have tried Centerstone they want to charge me $245 month to see me.

Client at a mental health clinic, sexual encounter wit a staff member, need advice PLEASE!!!!?
i'm a client at a mental health clinic. when i first got to the clinic, i was about to be on the streets, a woman there, a mental health worker, took me in, gave me a place to stay, found me a place to live, gave me food, bought me clothes, helped me A LOT, breaking the rules to help me. Later during the course of our " friendship" she started to act strange, she'd be jealous if I went out with other girls, she tried to control how I acted and she would get mad, she started undressing in front of me, she took off her clothes while we were in bed together and i was uncomfortable for many reasons. she was suppose to be my counselor and a christian and she's 10 yrs older than me so she was kind of like a mentor and i trusted her. a couple months later we did have a sexual encounter. my head was all fucked up from it cause i wanted to know if her motive for bein nice to me was cause of that, i was tired of her tryin to control me, i was stressed out cause she had a fiance and i was a client and in therapy so i was in a vulnerable stage, i didnt know if i'd been taken advantage of. so i went to my therapy and told my therapist what happened excluding her name. she figured out who i was talking about and they were goin to fire her. i told them i lied so she could keep her job. ever since then she's been at the clinic making up lies about me and making them think i'm acting crazy just to make herself look more innocent and i can't talk about it in therapy cause if i do, she'll be fired. i finally told her that i had to talk about it, it was killin me to hold it in and she started coming up to my job and threatening me and having her family members threaten me. i now have a temporary restraining order and the harrassment has stopped but her job after learning about the restraining still wants me to come forward and tell the truth. i feel like i owe her for all the good things she did for me when i met her. should i go forward and tell the truth or leave it alone? i dont want to ruin her life and i dont want me to be hurt either. HELP
What to you think of a mental health clinic that outright has?
lied to its clients and employees about the real reason their psychiatrist no longer works there? They said he just didn't want to drive that far anymore, but I know the real reason is they fired him to replace him with a part time P.A. to save money.
Is anyone aware of any free mental health clinics available in Dallas?
I feel I have some anxiety and perhaps depression that is severe enough to affect my daily activities. I am a single mother struggling financially and cannot afford doctors or prescriptions but I feel that I have let this go on long enough. It seems to only worsen and I can't risk waiting much longer. How can I find out if my local mental health clinic will accept me?
Do I get a referral from my doctor? And I dont have any money to pay for therapy, but I need it. I heard they use a sliding scale or whatever, but I am a dependent on my parents, and they are not willing to pay for anything.
