Is it possible to get mental health insurance alone?
Is it possible to get mental health insurance alone?I am a student, and can't afford my school's plan which doesn't cover mental health anyways . I have bipolar disorder, though, and I want to keep it in check.I actually haven't been diagnosed officially. A family friend who is a psychologist saw me at one point " off the grid" and made a " strong suggestion" towards a diagnosis. There is no record of it. And I don't need medication yet, I'm mostly looking for counseling.I have a part time job, which puts me in that group of people who don't qualify for low cost insurance, and can't afford individual insurance.

Do any insurance companies offer mental health insurance, independant of any other type of coverage?
I suffer from ADD, and in the past I've had to look for general health insurance just to cover the costs of my psychiatric appointments and prescriptions. Are there any policies which exclusively offer mental health coverage, and nothing else?

Where can I get better mental health insurance for my children they have been turned down by Welfare?

How much would mental health insurance cost for a fulltime college student?
I will be getting out of the military in February of 09 and I need some kind of insurance to cover counseling sessions.

How to access my mental health insurance benefits?
I had an appointment last week with the employee assistance program through work, and was recommended for long term mental health counseling. I have benefits through work, but I don't have my insurance card anymore, and all that information was printed on the back of the card. I tried printing the new card off the insurance company's website, but it says nothing about mental health benefits. I really don't want my employer to know that I'm seeking mental health benefits although they will find out eventually because of the claims process . Does anyone know of any way I can access these benefits and start setting up appointments before I actually get my replacement insurance card, and without contacting human resources? I suppose I will call them if I have to, but I just don't like anyone in my HR department as they are a cranky lot of folks.

Anyone know where there is free/lowcost mental health insurance?

Is there such a thing as Supplemental Mental Health Insurance?
My spouse needs to see a therapist psychiatrist and we have pretty good health insurance. But there is a $50 co pay for a specialist and we can not afford it. He needs to be seen 4 6 times a month and that is not possible. Does anyone have any advice?

Mental health insurance question.?
My sister has bipolar. She just turned 18 and currently has no job. She only has one month of prescription medication left. She just moved across the country to stay with me because her mother can no longer take care of her. I am trying to find some kind of insurance or program that will allow her to see another psychiatrist and get medication for her condition before she runs out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
